Hi Dimples

Welcome here!

Sorry to here about your ttc struggles. Now that you have been diagnosed with PCOS you can get the right help for your situation and hopefully get your BFP soon.

I've been diagnosed with PCOS too and have been taking Clomihexal and Fertomid (both generic versions of Clomid) since last December. The first 4 cycles I took 50mg a day, which didn't work as well as expected, so thereafter my FS (fertility specialist) increased the dosage to 100mg per day. Ever since I've been ovulating every cycle on more or less the same day (CD18), unlike before, so its definitely working for me now.

If I may give you some advice, if you are currently with a normal gynae and want to see results sooner rather than later, I'd suggest seeing a fertility specialist if you don't ovulate in the first cycle of using Clomihexal. I only went to the FS 5 months after using the first meds and felt that we could have increased the dosage much sooner.

Last word from me, have a look around the other TTC threads on the forum - there are a number of really nice ladies to chat to, which share our ups and downs, and make it a little easier to get through all this. I normally chat in the Afrikaans group, but I know the English speaking ladies also frequently post here: moomie.co.za/forum/15-trying-to-conceive...ying-for-a-2014-baby

All the best and hope you get good news soon!

Hi ladies

I am new to the board

I am 30 and have been ttc for 4 years. I did fall pregnant in 2011 but ended up in an ectopic pregnancy and I lost my left tube as well, since then I have no luck in falling pregnant.

I was diagnosed with pcos.

Has anyone been on clomihexal my gynae has put me on this today.

hope I will get to meet and read each successful story on this forum

Hello BabyBum :)

I'm new too... gosh... I know the feeling that it's just not happening.. I been trying for almost 3 years... I went onto tablets about 2 months ago, I'm not sure if it was them, or if was just time, I went onto Folic Acid and StaminaGrow, DH [Dear Husband] can use the StaminaGrow too... and I mean with us it was difficult cause of timing, he's away half the year, 2 months away, 2 months home, and timing is so important right?

There is hope!

His visit home for Christmas was more than a gift and on the 2nd we found out we are 6 weeks preggie :)

Don't loose faith. All will happen.

Best of luck and nice to meet u :)

Welcome babybum! Time and time again I have heard it said that 1 year is a normal period of time for it take to fall pregnant. If everything is fine with the 2 of you then as Ilse-W says it's just a matter of having lots of sex! Even when you don't feel like it ;-)

It took DH and I well over a year for me to get pregnant. And I clearly remember how much it hurt every month when I got a BFN. Especially with EVERYONE around me falling pregnant so easily. But we got there, completely naturally!

You will get lots of good advice and support from the TTC ladies here.

Good luck and I look forward to seeing your BFP!

Hi babybum

Welcome to moomie! You can join the "TTC thread" or "sukses met vrugbaarheidspille" if you want to chat to other ladies who are TTC.

I myself have been struggling for more than a year, so I understand how you feel. But if nothing is wrong with the 2 of you, then it is really just a matter of time and loads of sex.

Enjoy your time here!
