Gynae recommendations in Gauteng

Hi, I am currently 7 weeks pregnant and looking for a gynae in Pretoria area who is pro-natural birth.. Can anyone make any suggestions? I am closest to Kloof hospital, but not very fond of it so will definitely consider other hospitals/birthing centres as well.

Just fyi, I was reading up a bit on Genesis and saw that they have been taken over by the Life group of hospitals. I sent an email to the address on their website but it came back undelivered so msged them on Facebook to check if anything will change going forward with their birthing options. They did reply on Fb that they will remain a midwife led clinic.

They actually aren't, the friend that recommended Dr Milo's to me, had a natural birth, completely natural. No meds.

She said he was just has great as the experience I had.

Thanks. I have read in an older post that Dr Milos is pro-csection.
Not sure if that's just one opinion?

I had my son (first born) 2 years ago at sunninghill hospital. The nurses in the maternity ward, were fantastic.

I used Dr Milo's for my delivery and was so glad, he is a fantastic gynae and he has a brother who is also a gynae, they both work from the same hospital and they also work together on your delivery.

I have recommended them to 2 of my friends, who have used their services and were absolutely pleased.

Just a last comment on Genesis...
They only allow you to birth there after (i think) 36 weeks (might be 37...) - so chances of needing NICU is much reduced, and even if baba needs it, they have all the equipment to stabilize baba, and then they will transfer you to either Parklane or Linksfield.

I had a c-section with my first (they also have a fully equipped theater), and they were a bit worried about baba's lungs, so they did have him in the incubator for a while, but luckily he didn't need any further care, and could go to the room with me shortly after...
They just don't have the facilities for long term care, hence the transferring.

ps - I just looked at their website, and I see they changed it - not impressed, it gives almost NO info/pics now!!!

I’m not pregñant at the moment, but will be trying by the latter part of the year after my son turns two.
I had a natural delivery with Dr Hall at Parklane in 2014 and would have went back to him had he not relocated I know how long it takes to get gynae appointments if you're a new patient so want to get to know a dr before pregnancy.

I will have a look at Genesis, but a bit nervous about there being no NICU if required.
