file What was your favourite baby shower gift?

My best gift was the Baby sense book. Was a good read and one can use whatever works for you.

I love all the clothes, in fact I only need to buy my LG some vests now for 3-6months. All her daytime wear is sorted.

The spa voucher and photoshoot would be lovely if you are willing to spend that much on someone

I think the breastfeeding cover up apron thingy would be an awesome gift for a baby shower. Also, if you know the person well and know her size, etc - some breastfeeding tops is a great idea. This is all of course if she is planning on breastfeeding.

Well I had my baby shower on Saturday and the best gift I received was nappy bin. I never had one with the girls, but I just LOVE this gift. Would never have bought it myself. I would have loved a photo shoot voucher as well. I'm still looking for a photographer to do our newborn shoot.

I then received a lot of summer short sleeved clothes which I know I won't be able to use as baby is due in March so winter will be upon us.

I think something like a bola (if she's the type of woman who will wear it, or a special baby toy (not a soft toy), a nappy bin, a photo shoot voucher, a spa voucher, a really special outfit from Naartjie etc. will make great gifts and she will actually remember who the gift is from.

I do appreciate clothing / bath products etc. but to be honest, who remembes who gave what once you get home? And you are always left with so much clothing that your baby never wears / are not season appropriate etc. I think I still got baby powder left from when Kayla was a baby 7 years ago.

Super handy was the Braun ear thermometer.
A spa gift vouvher for the mommy is a nice gift - makes her feel special as well.

I'm gonna be super boring and say nappies. But not cheapie ones. They all went to waste :(. I would be so gratefull everytime I looked under the cot and saw the pack I got from Kate/Jane/Rox.. (but then we were very broke at the time and would have buckled under the rate that a newborn goes through nappies. I also love love his amber beads. I did not appreciate ALL the bathing products.

I would have to say 2 things... firstly the Chicco Baby carrier/pouch... i know not all kiddies like it - but it has been our lifesaver... Tayla loved it from about 3 months and still loves hanging around in it... a real break for the arms!

Then my nappy cake... it was gorgoeus and packed with all sorts... what is nice with a nappy cake is that you can build it to your budget... i;ve just done one up for R500 which is VERY generous... but seriously loaded!!!! Mine was valued at R300 and was also packed with great goodies!
