Skyler your story always puts tears in my eyes. You are my hope story, and here I am 26 weeks and Kaylee is kicking a storm away!

Ika it's always worse when you've been trying so long. Sadly MC's do happen, and we only get informed on the stats once its happened to us. I had a missed MC at 9w, we had seen HB at 6w5d and was so excited. But baby had stopped growing at 7w1d and by 9w the zygote had already shrunk and was starting to miscarry properly.
I had a D&C, and waited one cycle (5 weeks) before we started again. My cycles went back to normal almost immediately, but every cycle my ovulation was very sore, and I could feel which side I was ovulating. I went to see my gynae in Oct (?I think) about it, and he said it was just eggs coming out from far back having to push their way through.
The next month I didnt feel ovulation pains at all, and was convinced I hadnt ovulated. I went for progesterone tests which confirmed a good ovulation despite lack of O pains. And 9DPO I POA and there was my BFP, 4 months later.

It took about 3 months to grieve properly, and even thereafter when I watch birthstories, or see of anyone else's MC's I cant help but cry. I will never forget my little Jelly, and even though it was only a month that I knew I was pregnant, that baby was mine and the loss was real.

Please feel free to join us on Pregnancy after D&C. The ladies have all been through some loss, some more than one. But in the end we support each other, cry with each loss and celebrate with each new pregnancy. These ladies are my family.

Big hugs hun!

Hi Vickie

I am so very sorry for your loss, its so difficult to over come...

mine is a positive one after 2 mc's!

About 2 months of trying after our wedding we fell pregnant naturally, went to doc and all and we were so excited BUT i had slight spotting.... ended up that we found out at 7 weeks that a fetus didnt develop and basically stopped at 5 weeks (blighted ovum) so i had to have a D&C to remove it..... i was devastated heartbroken and thought everything was my fault .... we tried again immediately but it took 6 months that time and i was in tears and everytime i saw a mom i cried..... anyways we fell pregnant BUT alas spotting again (both times very minor no cramping nothing, spotting happened when i was supposed to get period but i took a test anyway).... this pregnancy also ended early and this time on its own.... this time round we told no one and it was much harder no one knowing than everyone knowing.....

After the second one i just couldnt take it and wanted to give up. We were in the UK for the above and were moving back to SA so hubby said lets leave it and move back home and get jobs and see how it goes so we did, anyways after a year at my job we tried and in the first month fell pregnant AGAIN third time lucky? Well i started spotting yet again and i tell you this time i was really paranoid ..... its all happening again why oh why... anyways here i am 36 WEEKS!!!!! breyton is kicking away and i cant wait for his arrival :)

So third time, i still had spotting from 5 weeks right through till 10 weeks (gynae said i had a yeast infection so i took creams and probiotics for a month and then spotting stopped).... i did have a few panic stations, like calling emergency gynae at 7 weeks to scan me on a saturday i was in tears and uncontrollable thinking it was all over..... when my naseous stopped i went to gynae convinced everything was all over lol now i can laugh

Long story short miracles do happen and one is kicking me right now! SO never give up, DH never did, i almost did and i am glad i didnt.... have faith and believe that everything happens for a reason if i look back now i know back then wasnt the right time for us and now is the right time... so you know what i am at peace with the past and looking forward to the future.

I will pray for you and hope everything works out :)

From Cape Town: Little boy (Breyton) due 13 June 2010, delivering at Blaauwberg Netcare :)

Ika, you can join the Pregnancy after D&C thread. the ladies there are full of support, answers, etc!!!

I had a missed miscarriage in November 2008 and in April 2009 got a BFP and now baby Hannah is 5 months old!!!

Had some blood on toilet paper on 19 November 2008 and went for scan. Baby's heart was beating and measured 6 weeks 1 day. Went back for scheduled scan at 8 weeks and babys heart had stopped beating at 6 weeks 3 days. I was so devastated. To top it all off I had to have two D&C procedures as I got an infection from the first one after some tissue was left behind accidentally.

My cycles were completely out of whack with the D&C, but as soon as I had a 30-something day cycle again I fell preg.

Healing takes time and you need to grieve in the way that you need to. Everyone is different. I'm so blessed that I had Mia because she really got me through it.

We started TTC again in March if I remember correctly. I went onto the progesterone suppositories to help with the progesterone levels in case it was that.

You never completely get over it and I still think of my little Angel up in Heaven, but the pain and the tears do get better. Just trust in God - He knows what he is doing even if you will never understand it.
