Hi ladies
Sorry I haven't written in so long.
Hope all the sick babas recover super fast. Poor little things. Shame M2m, thinking of you and your little guys
Well I spoke too soon about my car, they are scrapping it

It wasn't worth fighting for it - we did try fight but they would only fix it if we put in an extra R5k and it wasn't practical, the value was so low and it would need a service afterwards so I would end up spending half the value on the car and who knows if it would ever be the same again. So I'm going to take over DH's golf when he gets his bakkie and he will use the money we get paid out as a deposit on the bakkie. Still waiting on the bakkie seller to furnish the dealer with the papers. Very suspicious situation there so the dealer is sourcing other bakkies for Simon to check out.
Looking forward to the meet on Sunday!
Robyn, I can't believe bootcamp is over already and you are almost back at work, where is this year flying to? Well done, you must feel nice and fit now. Ja the stomach issue is a tough one. I always had a tummy before I was pregnant but now its ridiculous, I'm tired of looking like I'm still pregnant
Johnny is teething really badly, no new teeth that I can see yet though so I think his teeth are moving around in his jaw and there is lots of inflammation - his cheeks are swollen and apple red most of the time. I've ordered a teething necklace from Casandra-Ann, it should arrive this weekend. Can't wait to try it out - who's got one and do you think it works with your LO's?
But other than the teething he is doing well, lots of rocking on his knees and still moving backwards but not actually moving his knees forwards yet. Standing nicely although not pulling himself up yet. But now he hates being put down to sit, he would rather stand, he locks his knees, its so cute.
Someone mentioned the other day whether to give LO's corn yet? I gave J corn a few weeks ago (I overcooked them) and he ate them fine but they CAME OUT WHOLE in his nappy! I was a bit taken aback but also thought it was quite funny. So then I cooked a mince with some peas and corn and onions and tomato and garlic (for DH and I) and I used my stick blender on Johnny's portions and he LOVED that - so I would suggest blending the corn still but no reason not to give to them.
What about strawberries? Are they fine to give them yet? I didn't think there was anything wrong with them but someone said to me not before a year and that was the first I'd heard of it.
J definitely has a problem with yogurt and cream cheese so I give him a yogurt only every few days and a cheese wedge every now and then. I have given him the purity yogurts (mixed with fruit) and he seems fine with them.
But he still vomits every day, still not sure if its normal or not at his age. I must still book his vacs. I thought he was sick on the weekend but turned out it was still just teething.
Aaargh, I better go, got tons of work that I just don't have the desire to do, better try get something done while J is napping...
Hope you girls have a good day, KEEP WARM xx
PS: J got a 'car' from DH's ex work colleages when it was his company baby shower before J was born and we opened it up on Sunday - he LOVES it! It just rocks for now, then it converts to a push car with wheels that I can push him in and then finally to a push bike that he can drive himself.
