Charn and Robyn_C - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pics of your girls, they are GORGEOUS!

KerryA - who would have thought puppies get nappy rashes hey? I remember you mentioning your puppy having a rash when we were all still pregnanat if im not mistaken?

Peyton has also developed a slight rash - i use Bennets nappy cream, nystacen and bepanthen. I used bepanthen when i first started breastfeeding and had sore nipples and it worked a dream.

Cols and BabyKsMom - For sore gums, not really using anything - was using Ashton and Parsons, Teejel and Virol but nothing really works, so stopped using them altogether. However many mums recommend Prodol, though i havent tried it myself.

Girly congrats with the breastfeeding btw! You really have done so well considering everything. Also loving the cooler weather!

B)

BabyKsMom - goodluck with the Baptism on Sunday. I love the picnic on the lawn idea.

BabyZee - sorry to hear about your scar, is it still sore? Have you had a chance to get it checked out?

Parktown!

Sorry cols we must have been posting at the same time!

For the teethink i use teejel or prodol, but what i found works when K is really really battling is i give her a block of ice in her fresh food bag thingie.... ooh she really really loves it... the only downside is she screams blue murder if it finishes... so you have to put an new ice cube in in a real hurry!

Don't laugh... my puppy had nappy rash when i was pregnant and the vet shaved around her bum (as wet dog hair had apparently caused it) and gave me a cream to apply twica a day till the rash went away. She hated having her bum touched and the rash just seemed to be getting worse! so i was packing Kaelyns things into her room and i spied the sudocrem and the idea popped into my mind that it cant really hurt to try it.... i put it on twice and the rash vanished!

Then a few weeks later my mom had an ulcer pop up on her arm and it wouldn't go away, i jokingly suggested she try the sudocrem... and she did it and the ulcer was healed in a day or two...

Now everytime anyone had something sore the family joke is to try the sudocreme first... lol

Kaelyn hasnt had nappy rash yet but every now and then her "ring" gets a little red so i put on the fissan paste i got as a baby shower pressie (saving the sudocrem for dire needs)

I have also seen sudocrem at baby city and at regies. I think clicks had some too but i am not sure.

Emily has never had a nappy rash, but I have heard that rotating between a cream( like sudocrem and bepanthen) and Fullers Earth Powder works wonders. So 1 nappy change you use the cream then the next nappy change you use the powder. Apparently this works.

For teething, I am putting a few Prodol drops on her gums on the days that it is really bad. Otherwise, I use the Ashton & Parsons. She LOVES when I bring out the Prodol though :)

Ladies, Checkers has a HUGE Baby Sale on at the moment. You can check out the catalogue online.
