Sorry girls... it's just been so hectic at work, oh my word! all the little mistakes everyone made while i was away are coming out of the woodwork and i have everything hammering down on me! to add to that hubby's come down with something, my eltroxin script has no more repeats so i have to get a blood test and go to the doc for a new script... phew... i just don't seem to be able to cope! I really really hope it passes!

Anyway... lets plaster on a smile and catch up here!

Girly - yes i noticed the teeth seem to have come through in order, but it just concerns me because the next babies should already have their teeth, i went back and did the math and they are well over due, but i guess as we all know babies don't follow the books huh?

In order of age -
USER............ - BABY........ - DOB... - TEETH
NikkiP........... - Peyton..... - 25/7.. - 0
Charnenay... - Emily........ - 02/8.. - 2
Blessed2b.... - Armand.... - 03/8.. - 5
Mommy2m.... - Liam........ - 04/8... - 2
Cols.............. - Evan........ - 05/8.. - 0
Girly.............. - Kaylee..... - 13/8.. - 0
EillenB.......... - Izabella... - 20/8.. - 0
JanineK........ - Willem...... - 20/8.. - 0
Lerato.......... - Tshepisho - 24/8.. - 0
RobynC........ - Dakota..... - 26/8.. - 0
KerryA.......... - Kaelyn..... - 26/8... - 0
Babyksmom.. - John........ - 30/8... - 0

Cols - Kaelyn has also been teething for a loong while, but with no toothies... in fact for the last two weeks or so shes not had any teething niggles they got to a point where every night we had to put prodol on so she could eat and now its all gone away! maybe the teeth came through invisible? LOL

Charnenay - Kaelyn gets snacks too, just two little hot-kid rice rusks and a purity teething biscuit, but she loves them to bits

Eileen - is there room in your suitcase for baby and i? We will be good i swear! you are welcome on the links, i havent tried them before but i really hope they can help you

Nikki - c'mon surely you must have little toothies by now???? your baby is the oldest

Morning girls,

Once again, the day just ran away from me. And I got another monster waiting. Hallelujah we are leaving for the Drakensberg tomorow! We are going with DH's cousin, gonna be great fun. 4 Adults, 2 tweenies, 1 x 6 month old and 1 x 13 month old in one car!

Dh had to look after Iz last night, as I slept with Grace which had a high fever and was in pain from her throat the whole night. Taking her back to the doctor today.

Offcourse we have a Church band braai this afternoon at the beach! And I still have to pack.

Thanx for the links KerryA.

Went for another one of my torture sessions yesterday. NO FUN.

Girly, such great news that K is back home. The few jiggies you have to go through at the moment like staying indoors is no brainers, and luckily will go by so quickly.

Charn, wish I could see the dancing!

Wish I could chat more, but I gotto run, have to be out the house at 7. Delivery the elderly ppls Chicken pies.

Have a good one all!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY GIRLY!!!!! And what an awesome gift to have Kaylee back home. I am so in awe of your little girl's strength and resilience. To be back home after an operation like that just proves that!

Hope you are feeling better, the allergex will probably knock you out for a bit, but you probably need that rest to recover properly. Thank God for our mothers hey? :)

Cols - your poor lil munchkin, hope he gets better soon :(

EileenB - Your Iz sounds like a very happy-go-lucky little kid! Hope Grace feels better

Charne, you must post a video on FB of Emily dancing

Girly, good to see an update from you. Congrats on the 8 year anniversary and on being able to bring your little K home!!! Praying that her discomfort and pain will be minimal and that things will be back to normal for you and her soon. Ladies, let's remember to continue carrying Kaylee in our prayers that she may remain healthy and not require another op. Girly, hope you feel better soon as well.

As for Emily's snacks :), I give her a small treat everyday. Not much, just a rusk or fresh fruit and now we have added the sweetcorn snacks. All good stuff, nothing sweet. I am only giving her Organix and Olli foods. It is a bit more expensive, but I'm not wild about Purity and other snacks. Tried the Woolies range as well, but she HATED that - kept making herself gag!!!

Cols, Emily also started by lifting herself like that and the crawling follwed VERY quickly :)

Eileen, the dancing is very cute - at first I thought I was imagining it, but she is definitely dancing!! Everytime, a tune plays, she starts to move her little upper body in a really funny way - it is the cutest thing ever!!!! I play music all the time now to get her to dance - her dad says she takes after me :)

Girly - Happy Anniversary!!! I cannot think of a better gift than having sweet little K home. I am so glad to hear how well she is doing. We will continue to pray for her recovery and that this is her last operation... I hope your flu clears up now :)

Charnenay & Nikki - well done on the crawling! Evan's pulling his legs up under him and lifting his bum but he doesnt get anywhere with it :D

He is still sick but seems to be getting a little better (touch wood). He woke up for his bottle @ 10:30 last night (would not drink it at bed time) and again at 5 and finished them both. I have to take him to creche unfortunately. He apparently isnt contagious and hasnt had a fever. If he gets fevers etc I keep him home with me.

I really dont know about the teething thing... We will see. His gums are very red again but who knows. The nurse told me when he was 4 months he was teething. When I took him for his check up @ 5 1/2 months the paed told me he was teething so who knows :D

Dinner was very nice and DH seemed to really enjoy it.

I hope all you ladies have an awesome day!

So we are home now and so nice to be back as a family and a perfect anniversary present! We were married 8 years yesterday!

Kaylee is still a bit uncomfortable and she's on high doses of ponstel & ponado to manage it. Otherwise, she is on BP meds for at least the next month but it was already loads better by the time she was discharged.

Cardiologist did an ECG yesterday. He is happy with the result of the op and is cautiously optimistic that this is the last - the reason he is cautious is because the last op was also successful but the scar tissue grew around the artificial patch and caused the artery to re-narrow again. Whereas this time there is no patch they did a complete resection, so hopefully the scar tissue will grow properly in a way that wont cause any narrowing. We have to continue praying for this, otherwise she may have to go in again. But at least if she does, they can now insert a balloon via catheterisation (same as an angiogram).
I'm just so grateful that things went so well and that today is exactly a week since she had her op and she is already home. All the doctors and nurses were very pleased with her.

DH is back at work today but might come home early as he is rather exhausted from looking after her for 2 days.
My cold is still not gone but at least my nose is clearing up - nothing worse for me than not being able to breathe. But now that its opening my sinus's are burning like crazy.
My mom is coming to help me today so that I can take allergex and sleep if need be then hopefully by tomorrow I am back to my normal self. If I weren't a mom I'd probably have gone to a doc and been booked off for a good few days to sleep it off. Amazing how things change!

It's going to be very hard the next few weeks as the cut is still very sensitive so she's on pain meds and they make her drowsy. This also hampers her movement and although she can still roll and sit, she cant do so for long at the moment and she will probably spend a lot of time in my arms. So its a big adjustment for me, and I miss how it was, but its short term and I'll do whatever it takes!
Her vocal chords have been bruised by the ventilation pipes. Doc says it could take 6-8 weeks for it to repair, and if there is permanent damage she'd have a slightly more husky voice? I really hope it comes right soon! And cos of the pain she cant cough properly so she has flem sitting on her voicebox as well so sounds like she is sick but I called the hospital this morning and they seem to think its quite normal and just to watch it otherwise I may take her for physio for suctioning and massaging as we cannot risk her getting flem on her lungs as it could lead to pneumonia which is quite dangerous now.

We are indoors for the next two weeks, and after that we can venture out a bit, but I'll keep her out of shopping centres or big crowds for the next month.

We see the surgeon in 2 weeks time for follow up, and the cardiologist 2 weeks after that and then the surgeon again probably a month after that. And by then I'll take her to paed for 9 month check up. So still lots of doctors to see but its all for the best and anything to make sure she is healthy.

Thanks for following this journey with me. It has really helped to have the support in this and thanks for all the calls and sms's guys!

First angel resting 25/06/2009 stayed with us a short 7 weeks but we still miss you.
