Hi Ladies

Girly, my artwork leaves a lot to be desired, but since DH built the compactum and bookshelf, I wanted to "make" something myself as well - turned out better than I thought it would, though
I bought the storage box at Mr. Price Home Store - I got most of my small things there - even the bedding, cot mattress, etc. The toy basket is also from them. They have some nice things and really affordable. I am going to get a chair yes, ordered the one from baby city (will post a pic). It is a bit pricy, but I didn't have to buy any of the big things which means I can afford to spoil myself a little - the cot I got from a very good friend of mine, and also got my travel system as a gift (beautiful Peg Perego one) and like I said, everything I used in the room I shopped around for, so I got REALLY good deals on almost everything. My mobile was a bit pricy, but my sister got that for me and I am getting her baby monitor because she has 2 (got 1 as a gift). So, the wood, etc for the compactum and the chair is really the only things that were a tad expensive and came from our pockets. So, just need to get the chair in the room, and dh needs to put up the bookshelf and make me a tiny side table to go next to the feeding chair, and MIL is making me a laundry bag to hang on the side of the compactum and then I am all sorted.

Girly, good luck with the shopping this weekend - it is loads of fun choosing things for baby and makes everything seem so much more "REAL"!

Anyone going to the Good Food & Wine Show this weekend?

Here is a pic of the rocking chair - this is the only picture I could find - i ordered the Mahogany one with plain natural fabric (to match the walls) and just going to put a pink pillow on it.

Jude the increased appetite might just be cos your baby is growing quickly now? Dont stress about it too much.
I enjoy reorganising and throwing out. That's what I'll be doing the next two weekends. Things just feel so much better afterwards!

My friend had Braxton Hicks from 28 weeks, and some get it from a bit earlier. It's quite normal. Also, some women start leaking colostrum around about now too. So warn your hubby's and get a pack of breastpads incase

We are choosing the room paint this weekend, and ordering a chest of drawers as we dont have cupboards in the baby room and need storage space.
Was going to buy a recliner for breastfeeding / napping / reading but financially dont want to commit now.
And need to start sorting through the lists of things to buy, and start getting a few items already!

My mom has offered to buy us a travel system which is great! Will look on Saturday morning too. Gonna be a busy day!

hope u all had a lovely mothersday.Charn wow Emily's nursery looks absolutely gorgeous.we r in the same boat as u Judesmom as Mia will spend the first few months in our room and then share a room with Tristan our theme is xactly the same pooh so we dont hav to do the whole painting thing all over again.Charn it sounds like BH.wow Blessed thats a wonderful scan although ur little man was shy.
