Charnenay I'm not with Justine, as the same place that my gynae is at has antenatal classes too and she's a breastfeeding consultant - Rika Hoffman, in Durbanville.
Its a 5 week course, starting on 23 June, 2hrs a class. I'll be 31 weeks then. Is that too far for you?
Most of the 5-6 week courses are between R600 - R800 from what I know. Some can be in the region of R1200 but then its longer or you get more. And I think it's worth it for the first one. Not so much the 2nd.
I'd also highly recommend Rosemarie Gauld if youre in the Northern suburbs. She's a midwife and I learnt so much from her!

Robyn 9 months maternity leave? HOW???
Hehe the hickups are cute. I also feel them sometimes. Apparently its quite common.

Blessed thanks for the info. I will ask my gynae about it tomorrow cos Ive had more cramps than normal too. But no pain when emptying my bladder or anything.
On the weight issue - I've picked up about 8 now, but don't want to pick up a whole lot and still another 16 weeks to go!
I am living on sweets though, chocolates etc EVERY DAY! So I'm not surprised really I probably couldve picked up less. At least my maternity pants still fit so I know that most of it hasn't gone to my legs or bum.

I should count my days too - will help get through this awful day!

blessed - so glad you got to your dr. sooner. Protein in the urine can be very dangerous if not treated - so great that you went to dr and she could pick it up and start treatment. Armand IS a big boy :) at 26w, Emily was not even 800GR. yet. But, dr. said she is going to be tiny and I should stock up on newborn clothes. You sholdn't buy too much newborn pieces then, rather 0-3 months. Good luck with the weighless - just continue eating healthy and don't starve yourself. Thought I was the only 1 counting working days :) I have 40 working days left - wooohooo.

Hi ladies..

Girly - so glad DH could also feel Kaylee last night!! It is a big thing for the daddies :)

So, I went for my check up today..
Have blood & protein in my urine - bad infection. Praise God that i could move my appointment a week earlier!! I'm so greatful that i did not start "ontsluit" because of the infection, but if I had to walk another week without any meds, i would have. So greatfull towards God!!! All Glory to Him!! Doc gave me meds to take for 2 months to keep my urine clean. Hope it works quickly because i have alot of pain..

Other than that - Armand is growing nicely!! He is 1kg already!!!!!!!!! Quit big for 25w4d! He also measures 26w5d already! Doc said he is going to be a big baba at birth! More than 3.6kg's!!!!!!! I still want to have natural birth! Please pray for me!

She also said i should start with Weigh Less because I have picked up 16kg's already!!!! I'm not allowed to pick any more!!! HELP!!

Any way.. was in tears because of the infection, but feeling much better now! Please pray that it will clear up quickly!

Armand is still very busy :) Keeping me busy!

I'm going to Carine Campher for pre-natal classes! It is a 12wk course, every Tue eve for 2 hrs. Going for my 3rd class today - Breasfeeding. It is great and she is very good! It is a bit expensive, R1500.. Can really recommend her for the PTA ladies..

Going on ML end of July and then only starting again in Jan 2011 for only half day!
Only 59 days left to work!!!

Have a nice day ladies!
xx

Morning ladies
Hope you all in Cpt are keeping warm and dry!

I've booked my ante-natal classes at Constantia - R350 for 4x 2hr classes (not bad - just the basics really)

I've put in for 9months mat leave (should start 4wks before my DD, but I'm hoping to work as close to it as possible to spend more time with baby)

Can't wait for DH to feel D kick - so glad for you Girly :P

Dakota either has ants in her pants or hiccoughs or something, cos she can't keep still - but it's not kicking, just constant little movements (feels like my tummy is grumbling or something but without any sound)

My next scan is only in 4wks time, I really can't wait so long! :(
