Cols - they are innovative when it comes to getting these things hey? Kaelyn put my nomination bracelet in a box behind the couch in our lounge... we hunted high and low for three weeks... then i finally got to using the box for what i had kept it for, i opened it and there it was...

how K got the bracelet in the closed box is still a mystery though!

Creche is great K loves it there so very much and she is a much happier (though she was pretty happy before) baby now.... and i don't have MIL stabbing me in the back every day... its a win win situation

with the photos i also struggle... try right click on them and choose open in new tab... that helps for me

PM, sounds like you're really on the ball! What bouncer were you looking at? Poor Iz I am paranoid so I travel with pain meds and teething gel wherever I go. If we are going to be out late or over night I pack a mini medicine cabinet - no jokes. I got cought out once without my "pharmacy" so now I just take it all with... I am calming down a bit now

BabyK, I am so glad you had a good break and John was such a good baba! I hope you all kick the cold soon ! It is horrible I hope you get resolution with the publishers. It is so frustrating!!!

Girly - Happy birthday to K for Saturday. I am sorry you had to spend it in hospital but I pray this is the end and she just gets better and stronger!

Im taking Evan for his 1 year jabs tomorrow. Im not planning on going for the 1 year check up because we already spend so much time at the paed. He was there 2 weeks ago so I dont think there would have been a big change since then. She does a full check every time...

I need to be studying so of course the sewing machine came out yesterday! Made a colleague a nappy pouch for her little baby - she is due in 2 weeks time. And started making Evan a new cot bumper cover. I made him a douvet a few weeks ago and havent gotted around to the bumper. I put a train on it - very basic - I just made it out of felt. I need to join the pieces tonight so I really hope it works out The douvet is just white with thin blue and grey pin stripes.

I cannot believe how much the kids are growing! Evan stole his dad's slab of lindt off the coffee table. I'd left him in the lounge to check on dinner. It went very quiet and when I walked back in there he was gnawing away! You should have heard the scream when I took it away from him!

We had a great time in Umhlanga. It was really nice to be away with my folks, although they fight so much, I had forgotten what it was like (bickering all the time). But they love John so much and gave him so much attention and stimulation, he has made lots of progress in one week and he just so cute. He picked up a cold there though and still has and my dad and I have it too Oh well, not surprising considering all the new things and new germs. Also we flew down and back so he went on a plane for the first time. He was FANTASTIC! Didn't cry at all and was quite excited and so chatty and smiley to all the other people on the plane. I was so proud.

I better run, so much to catch up on and I HAVE to finish my report by the end of this week. I'm still fighting with the publishers, I have 2 lawyer friends who are giving me heaps of advice

Thats why I prefer to go places where I can eat Sushi.....it's already cold, and I can scoff it in my mouth with my hand if need be ......that is sooo my story and I'm sticking to it!!!!!

Hi all!

Iz gave her first steps last night! So excited, it's like something just clicked in her brain. Now she stand alone, and just goes. Getting little windgat though, wants to dance and show off by clapping hands when standing alone.

We went to Durbs for my mom's birthday on Saturday and I gave Iz some ribs to eat, which she loved....guess what????? Stupid stupid mom didn't realise the marinade is soy based!!!!!!!!!!!!! My poor child cramped sooo badly all the way back from Durban, and offcourse I did not think I was going to poison my child so I didn't pack any buscopan, and it was after 8 pm. My heart broke into a million pieces. I'll have to be super extra carefull from now on and carry buscopan EVERYWHERE!

Party planning in full swing. Everything seems on track, just a pitty I couldn't find the pink bouncer I wanted. Awh well, can't win them all.

I had Iz's ears pierced on Wednesday. She's looking like a real lady. Had more of a fright than anything else. I took her to the pharmacy where they first put Emla cream to numb it.

so we went to clearwater mall on the weekend and sat at a resturant near the outside fountain... bad bad bad mistake... K was fascinated by it and kept trying to get to it.... Not much eating got done!
