Baby with constant sinus

This might be a shot in the dark:

1. Do you have a COOL STEAM humidifier? I am a sinus sufferer, and this makes a difference for me.

2. Have you tried using Sterimar saline spray regularly?

3. Do you have very humid areas in the house or mildew/wet
walls? This can be very serious. Some people dont' realise there is a leak somewhere which allow for moisture build up on walls etc.

4. I have also experienced a great improvement with the exclusion of dairy in my diet (very sadly).

5. Have you tried a nebuliser. You can get a salt water solution
from the pharmacy without a prescription.

If you use stay soft when you do her washing maybe you should try another brand sometime even the baby stay soft and the hypo allergenic stay soft that might not smell strong to use may be affecting you LO because she might be very sensitive to smell which i know can cause a blocked nose even if you dont have allergies, as certain plants can also do this.

I also use tissue salts. Works for my boys.

Oh no!! You've literally tried everything with your baby!! Shame man, that's really hectic. I'm giving Migione tissue salts nr 7 and nr 9 and that's also for a stuffy nose. I know that Sister Lilian remedy really does work but as you said, it only kicks in after a few weeks. I think you can give it 3hourly or so?

Leandi is already on soy formula and hardly ever has dairy, and she does sleep on a pillow to elevate her a little. Thanks anywho.

I have recently also started with Sister Lilian's mucocare, but i think this takes about 3 weeks before you can start to see a improvement??

Something that also helps a bit is if you lift the one side of the cot (where her head is)..the slight elevation will help with the congested nose. I've put a telephone book under the one side of the cot.

I know some people won't agree with me, but I've taken my baby off any diary products and since then her sinuses are alot better. She's on Isomil (soya product). I suffer from bad hayfever and if I eat/drink dairy products then my nose gets blocked and stuffy. You first have to speak to your paed before you put her on soya though.

You can also take her to a dietician who will tell you what foods to avoid which makes more mucous.

Mignione's ENT told me not to use Deselex as it makes the mucous 'thick' so then it makes the nose stuffy. If the mucous is thin then it runs out of the nose which is better than clogging it up in the sinuses.
