Aaqil has just turned 2, but I still carry a diaper bag. In 2 months when my lg comes along - will carry a bigger one :) for now I carry 5 diapers, diaper bags, bum cream, aqeous lotion, sun block, mike mosquito (we are in Dbn and getting chowed by the mossies), sun hat, a change of clothes, bag for putting dirty clothes in, sippy cup and first aid kit. In the first aid kit I have a thermometer, panado, cotton swabs, antiseptic wipes, gauze, savlon, burn plasers, normal plasters, finger cots, gloves and bactroban. I think that's it :)

Love the clear plastic bag idea Dinkey. I have a small first aid kit in my car- just plasters in the nappy bag. My lg is 18 months and lb 4 now, so lately I have just been using one of those small back packs from Cape Union Mart as a nappy bag. It's also great because DH is happy to wear it in his back and I get to dust off my handbags :P

I must say, I have been lucky enough to never have used those latex gloves, but rather safe than sorry! (I have some sensory issues when it comes to changing a seriously wicked nappy...) :woohoo:

Morning Ladies,

Here are two awesome nappy bag organising ideas I found on the net.

One uses a kangaroo insert like the ones you can use in your handbag - you can get these from Homemark at Dischem R99 for two

The other uses clear plastic bags - like linen or toiletry gift sets come in - you pack each bag for a specific purpose and then just pack the ones you need into your nappy bag.

Does anyone carry a mini first aid kit in their nappy bag? If you do what do you have in it?

LOL! I've read the gloves tip somewhere else too.

I'm going to post a pic tomorrow if I get a chance to take one but what I went out with today:
* 4 nappies
* Sudocream (small tub)
* Dettol hand wipes
* Waterless hand sanitiser
* Nappy Sacks
* Wet wipes
* Change of clothes
* Burp cloth
* Breast pads
* Receiving blanket
* Siced melon
* Veggies with bowl and spoon
* Bottle of tea
* My purse
* Two cellphones
* Packet of 'next' size clothes that I need to find 'friends' for
* A couple of toys

I found a few nice ideas on the net - will post from the office tomorrow.
