Wow, I just realised how disorganised my life is! Your routines all sound amazing. Charlene, you really are Super Woman!

My routine is very adaptable. I have to take care of the house and being a SAHM, if I feel like staying in bed longer with him, I do. :) From day one I established a good bedtime routine and he has always slept well at night (well, until his teeth!)

My "routine" goes something like this:

5:30 - he wakes up, DH brings him to bed and he b/feeds and goes back to sleep
7 - wakes up again and plays for an hour
8 - has a nap for about 45 minutes
9 - cereal or fruit and yoghurt
10 - b/feeds
***playtime in between cleaning the house***
11 - nap again for 45 minutes
more playtime
1:30 - usually another nap (only ever 45 minutes) and I eat lunch
2 - b/feeds
playtime again
3 - veggies and some protein
4 - b/feed and nap
6 - his dad takes him for an hour so I can make supper
7 - supper - cereal/veggies
7:30 - bathtime
8 - b/feed and bedtime

He usually wakes at around 3am for a feed.

Arwen doesnt really have a rotine she sleeps when she wants,
The only routine we have is at about 19h00 she has to have a nap and bath time is always 21h30 and sleep time is 22h00. I cant even get her to eat at the same times.

Another tip I can give is not to rush around in the first few weeks of being at home with your Little One.

Take it easy, sleep in, stay in your pajamas if you want to for the 1st few days :)

I would go back to sleep with Bekah when she was a New Born after hubby left for work and those extra hours of sleep were amazing. Also because it was winter I would only get out of bed at like 10:00 when it was warmer.

I would also only go out twice a week - On a Friday to weight her and on a Sunday to Church. This helped her get into a good sleep routine because she wasnt disturbed.

Make sure you look after yourself as well. It can be demanding having a new born. Make sure you eat and get lots of fluids especially if your are breastfeeding!

This is my basic routine - usually changes as Rebekah decides
She is 7 and a half months old.

During the Week:

4:30 Get up and Get ready for work
5:00 / 5:30 Rebekah wakes up and I feed her breastmilk.
6:00 Leave for Work and Hubby takes Bekah to school at 7:00 and she has a nap in the car.
8:00 Ceareal
10:00 Bottle
11:00 Half a jar of purity fruit
11:30 Sleep
13:30 Other half of Purity fruit
15:00 Next bottle ( I usuall fetch her at this time and she only has a little bit.)
15:30 Breastfeed
16:30 Breastfeed
17:30 Dinner (Veggies / Meat etc.)
18:00 Bath Time
18:45 Breastfeed and Bed

On Weekend we just go with the flow depending on what time she wakes up. She usually has one long 2 hour sleep and then has little cat naps. I also breastfeed exclusively on weekends. I try to follow the school routine as much as possible but it doesnt always work :)

Hi Ladies

I didn't really have a routine when on mat leave with Zia, I just kinda read his emotions and followed from there. Our routine now is as follows.

6am wake up with a few sips of milk
7am has a power nap again for about 1.5 hours
8:30 wakes up and has cereal with milk bottle
plays until 11
11:00 left over milk bottle and sleep
12:30 veggies
bottle inbetween
14:00 nap
16:00 after afternoon nap he will have fruit
17:30 bath - he usually has a power nap after his bath of about 30 min
18:30 awake playing
20:00 sleep time with a bottle

Sometimes he wakes at about 3am for a dream feed bottle, then he will sleep until 6am again.

With this heat, he has about 120ml of baby tea as well inbetween his feeds.

I also followed BabySense and from night three I would not speak a single word to Nienke at night. I put in a dimmer light and would keep the room dark and quiet. When it was morning, I would open the curtains so that the light can come in.

The first few weeks we didnt have a routine. She would fall asleep on my chest, strapped into a pouch or in a sling.

Now we have a very good routine. It comes with time, I think. I let her guide me the first few months but when I went back to work, I had to have a routine.

Our routine looks like this:

5/6am breastmilk
7am wakes up and plays
8am fruit or cereal
9am breastmilk and nap
11am fruit or cereal
1pm breastmilk and sleep
3pm veggies
then a nap
5pm breastmilk
6:30 veggies or fruit
7pm bath with the same CD we have been listening to the last SEVEN MONTHS. If that's not routine, I dont know!
7:30 breastmilk and sleep!

i remember having a routine from day one, i have had to with the 2 girls, but dont ask me now what it is. this is how my day goes:

6:00am: Bardon wakes up, i make bottle, hubbie feeds him while i pack lunch boxes and make coffee
6:45am: wake Jolene and get her dressed
7:00am: hubbie showers and i get ange up, bardon plays on his own
7:20am: we all jump in the car and take the kids to school

8:00am: Bardon will fall asleep, wakes up between 9:30/10am

10am: Bardon get cereal
11:30/12:00: Bardon get milk & then sleeps

14:00 fetch jolene from school then get home and feed Bardon some lunch
********homework************
15:30/16:00 Bardon usually falls asleep again

when he wakes he drinks another bottle and somewhere in this late afternoon muddle i fetch angelique
i then get home, make supper

18:00 suppertime
19:00 Bardon baths,
19:30 get his bottle, and ange jumps in bath
20:00 Bardon is in bed and sleeping and ange goes to bed, jolene gets in the bath
21:00 Jolene's bedtime...

then i have either passed out in a bed somewhere or i fall asleep in the bath myself

hubbie and i try squeeze in US time aswell, we will watch a movie after 9 or anything, AND SO MY ROUTINE STARTS TOMORROW MORNING AGAIN
