I was on the pill to begin with, so it was a bit of a shock to everybody when I got pregnant to begin with. But I was very happy and I still am.
But it has not been without its trails and tribulations. For the 1st month I thought I had pneumonia, so I pretty much overdosed myself on medicine. Obviously it never crossed my mind that I could be pregnant.
Then when I found out I was suffering with extreme nausea that nothing could stop for around 5 months. I still get nice bouts of it on occasion.
But through all that I stayed calm. But now towards the end I am getting a bit freaked out. I work with Mares in foal, so I do know a lot about labour, etc...which I think is a bit of a bad thing.

It has always been something which freaks me out a bit.
I am sure as soon as my son is out I will be happy as ever, its just that daunting task of getting him out. As my gynea says, banana in, pineapple out...or in my case spiky watermelon...
Its just that utterly daunting task of childbirth. And then I am totally paranoid about all the things that can go wrong. ( Sometimes education is not such a good thing) And even though I do have quite strong maternal instincts, and I have experience with looking after small children, having your own is a bit daunting.
