If it is any consolatin your child will barely be aware if there is 1 or 1000 kids at the party.

I like the rule of invite as many guests as your child's age, it helps you to stay sane.

Granted I have never applied this rule and always attempt to thrown an extravaganza, but I have a medical certificate that says I am questionable, so that is my defense.

<I find most people usually start trying around age 2 1/2 - 3 of the first one, as then they are starting to gain some sanity, get sleep, and start to think they are getting back to normal. You are very brave to be thinking about a number 2 with a baby at 20 months. But Jo'burgers are made stronger than us coastal people>

Hi everyone I am a new moomie I have a little girl, 20 months old. I am trying for baby nr two also thumbs crossed I also am looking hard for friends for myself and my baby. We live in the westrand of johannesburg, and neither my brother or sis in law have any children, so to find mommy baby friends is tricky... I really want to throw my daughter a great 2nd birthday party with loads of friends. Hope there are a lot of joburgers out there
