Hi I'm so sorry to hear about your situation Dinky. Its sad. I had a blighted ovum in Aug (also because there was no heartbeat) I was 7 weeks I also couldn't wait for the miscarrage so went to hospital for evacuation (d&c) i'm not quit sure.
Its 5 weeks and the emotional rollercoaster has been tough for me. Especially when I see pregnant women and mommies with babies I want to cry...

I'm waiting for my normal cycle to return so that we can try again..

Hi Ladies,

I'm sort of new. I first joined Moomie earlier this year but because of work pressure etc. I kind of disappeared. I am now back Started a new job - hopefully this one won't get in the way! I was ttc after coming off the injection. Had irregular cycles and wasn't sure if I was even ovulating. I got my BFP on 19 May 2011, we were completely surprised and over the moon! I went for the blood test on 20 May and got the results on 21 May, they said I was 12 weeks along! Another shock! Because I had an irregular cycle I had no idea when I had ovulated and hadn't had a period since March! I made an appointment with my Gynae on 30 May she did an internal scan and said the baby only measured 6 weeks 5 days so I was sent for another blood test. This test confirmed what the doctor had said, I was somewhere between 6 weeks and 8 weeks. She told me to come back for a follow up on the 20th of June. She did a sonogram but couldn't see the baby so she did an internal scan. The baby only measured 7 weeks 4 days even though it was 3 weeks since my first appointment and there was no heartbeat! I was devastated. She sent me for another blood test to confirm whether my HCG was dropping it was, drastically! She gave me the option to wait to miscarry naturally or to have an evacuation. I opted for the evacuation because I couldn't bear the thought of waiting for the inevitable and not knowing when it would happen. I went in on the 22nd of June, the sadest day of my life! My doctor was amazing though and really made me feel at ease. It has been six weeks now since then and I am ready to take the next step and start preparing to ttc again.
