I definitely wouldn't see your age as a barrier - not for at least another good few years. I started trying at 37 and took 1 month to fall pregnant. I have just found out I am pregnant again after 2 months of trying. I have just turned 40.

Over and above that I know SO many "older" moms between the ages of 35 and up to 45 with the 45 year old having the youngest baby out of all of them.

So you are in excellent company :=)

Hi, I'm an older mom.

Sorry for your losses.

Age is in the mind :) yes, but age does have an effect on our bodies and especially our fertility.
I started trying when I was 37/38 conceived when I was 39 and had our little girl was born 3 weeks before my 40th. I'm now 41 and we will be trying for a sibling soon.

If you're over 35 and been trying for more that 6 months, they recommend going for fertility investigations.

Hope you get to have another little one soon.

Hi, I am really sorry to hear about your loss(es). I just want to say that I have a friend whose mother got pregnant and she was already "an older" woman. My friend was the younger of 2 children. Her older sister was 14 and she was 12 when their mom discovered that she was pregnant with her 3rd child. It was a big shock for her, she actually thought it was her menopause  starting, and to her surprise she was pregnant. This little one is 18 now. I know about someone else who tried and tried but couldn't conceive and then when the doctor (gynae) told her she must make peace with the fact that she would not have any children again, she was devastated as she only had one son and really wanted a second child. After she decided to accept things for how they seemed she became pregnant within 2 months.

Have a nice day and keep us posted.

hi Ladies,im actually a newbie on this site and just wanted to find out if there are other ladies on here about 37/38 years trying to conceive .
A bit about me....I have a beautiful 9 yr old daughter and have been trying fo rthe last 5 yrs for another.Last oct i had a mc @ 6 weeks and then 2 weeks ago had another mc at 11 weeks although baby was only measuring 9 weeks :(
If any of u have positive stories of older woman (lol I say this but in my heart and body I still feel like I am 25) conceiving will really appreciate hearing as my heart is aching that there may be no hope for me ever having another child.
