I don't think the surgeries would be such an issue in pregnancy, although you might land up on bed rest or at the very least having to take it extremely easy with a lot of rest. But i'm not at all sure about the syringomyelia. Could you perhaps ask your back surgeon?

Hi guys,

I am new to Moomie and desperately need all the help I can get. I have had 3 spinal surgeries in the past 3 years. Two of which was about 6 months ago. I am still recovering and know I should not get pregnant but I have so many questions about a pregnancy and my situation. I on top of having spinal problems have build up fluid in my spinal cord, its called Syringomyelia. Its like cysts in the spinal cord. My husband and I desperately want to start our family but we somehow cant find a ob/gyn that has any experience with pregnancy and spinal problems to that extent. We also thought of surrogacy because the change of me carrying a baby might be slim and not safe but I would like to carry the baby myself if possible. Is there anybody that can advise me the topic?

Thank you!
