Welcome to the forum! I am pregnant with my third and am with a midwife in Bloemfontein. My previous two birth were in hospital and I want to avoid that for this birth.
According to my knowledge, a midwife is more open to your needs, they let you birth they way you want, you are in control of your birth and no interventions is necessary if that is your wish. You can make your own decision about several things that a dr. does not allow you to. I am going to let Kim Young from Beautifully Born answer this. She is a hypnobirth practitioner in Durbanville and will know all of the midwives in the Western Cape area.
Hallo everyone. I am new here. I live in Franschhoek and this is my first pregnancy. I am 30 years old and around 6 weeks pregnant. I have not been to a doctor yet.
I would like to know if any of you have any advise for me? I am not a "fan" of any doctor and would prefer to go another route if possible.
Would you adivse a midwife? What is the duties of a midwife? I see that there is one in Paarl Nicolene Loubsher. Anybody know about her?
