Good Gynae wanted

Thank you (we had our 28/29 check-up this morning, baby boy is a healthy 1.5kg's)

She runs a private/cash practice.
We've claimed back from our medical aid (CAMAF) though.

1st appointment: R1300.00
12-week sonogram (includes NT scan): R1200.00 (she has a specialist sonographer that comes in)
Appointments thereafter: R800.00 (she always does an ultrasound during each appointment, so you can build up a nice photo collection of your little one)
Her office also does 3D/4D appointments: R800.00 (she has a specialist come in)

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I'm a FTM giving birth at Wilgeheuwel Hospital on 20 December.
My OBGYN is located there as well - Dr Packirisamy and she's great. (there are also 2 other OB's on her floor)

She's not pregnant/retiring and she is supposed to deliver my baby end December (so she's definitely here until then)

Not sure what he schedule is like otherwise, but I can definitely vouch for her.

I'm telling you - they all say that, I had the same thing now until you tell them you are pregnant, then they can help you. Hope you get an appointment soon!

Thank you so much and I think you are on the right path because all of them are saying they are fully booked which coincides with what you are saying, thank you very much i will call them again and see if they sing a different tune, i will make sure to join mommies by month groups and i am due in May 2015 very excited

I'm sorry, I don't reside in that area so I can't recommend someone, but just a word of advice - all of the receptionists will say they are full and not taking new patients before January. So make sure to tell them you are pregnant - pregnant patients run on a different schedule that just the regular check-ups/other womanly problems.

Make sure to join one of the mommies by month groups - how far along are you, what is your due date?

Hi guys

im am new to the site as i only found out last week that i am pregnant with my first child
I now need to see a gynae but im battling to find a good one in the north (randburg, northriding, northgate, wilgeheuwel) and all the good ones i have found and called are either fully booked as they are goin on maternity leave, dead or retiring next month. Can someone recommend a good gynae please
