LO losing weight at 11 months

I really wouldn't worry about it at all, my LG's weight has been an issue from her second weigh in and still to this day. I had everyone asking me if ive dewormed, if im feeding my daughter enough etc. She has only now reached past the 10kg mark and she will be 3 in October.

As my Paed says as long as they are in the normal range a bit of weight loss isn't a problem however with my LG she wasn't in the normal range but was following the curve correctly, my Paed was concerned but thankfully the 800g she picked up since November last year to now has made my Paed happy!

Your little one looks healthy and beautiful so I wouldn't worry all too much

Thanks for the insights, mommies. My instincts tell me my baby is fine. It's just that, it's quite a loss-more than 500 grams.

AT least now, I am smiling because it's not only me who experiences that and also to know that it is normal for the weight to fluctuate. I guess, because really she is super active. I'm having carpal tunnel because of her. Haha! I had a surgery even. Despite that, I am so blessed to have this little baby girl who's growing up too fast.

It is our first instinct to worry! We had almost the same issue, My LG's weight also fluctuated like that and the sister at the clinic also had loads to say about that. (She had actually told us that my milk was obviously too weak - I was BF and we were feeding solids at 6 months - it goes without saying that we've never been back to her again)

We then went to the Paed and he explained to us that the weight must just be in normal ranges (the WHO range scales) - children's bodies are marvelous things in that they also self-regulate. If they pick up too fast they will lose some or plateau a bit.

Just as long as your LG is within the normal range, it is perfect! (and when in doubt - trust your instincts and go to the Paed - you'll know when something is wrong, trust your mommy-alarm)

i do agree to not worry - if she is active and eating well then all is fine. they do tend to loose weight as they get more mobile and more busy.

my lb was a big chubby baby. he was 9,2 kg's on 6 months and shot up to 9,8kg's at 7 months. now at 12 months he is 9,4 kg's and that is just because he is so extremely busy and moving around. and i do expect when he starts walking that he might loose some more weight.
he has now turned into a very skinny little chap
