Congrats on your birth. I am with Gems too and live in Pmb. Go onto the GEMs site and look for Gyneas who are contracted with on the site. Rather phone GEMs on how to check. Did it last year and all the gyneas available were in Durban so didnt use them as they were far for me.

Congrats on the pregnancy Astubchen

Which hospital in DBN do you plan to deliver in?

That's the best place to start. I found most gynae in KZN if you on med aid have these co-payments and the fee before delivery very hard to find one who does not.

I heard EThekwini hospital has a female gynae, I think Dr Rahim who charges medical aid rates, not sure though, haven't used that hospital or her.

Hello Momies ,so im rather new on this page.So happy I get to communicate with others here,I need a bit of help.Im a first time mommy and found out im pregnant a bit late,im currently 20 weeks and in need of a gynaecologist in Durban.

I was previously with Dr Pather and im just not happy with her after I had a miscarriage in her care, ive tried calling Dr Naseera Mohammed and was excited in seeing her but was bumped when I found out I have to pay R300 for each visit plus R4000 on delivery ,bear in mind im on medical aid.Im with Gems.

So im in a bit of a predicament since time is running out and need to see a gynaecologist very soon.. :(

Any help will be much appreciated!!
Thanks
