Boy was 2014 a shocker of a year for our family - 18 year old daughter in matric, 16 year old son in grade 10 and finding out that we were expecting a "laat lametjie". 5 positive home pregnancy tests weren't enough to convince me that those 2 red lines were very real and a visit to the gynae showed us two very visible sacs...... eek 2!!! I certainly never saw this happening to me in my 40's. It didn't take long for the shock to wear off and the excitement to set in. At our next gynae appointment 4 weeks later we learned that the one sac hadn't developed and only one was remaining. Had a healthy pregnancy and in fact couldn't wait to "pop" after going through a really hot summer and having feet that made me feel like Fiona from Shrek. Earlier this year gave birth via C-section to our little blessing who is now 6 months old. She is such a happy little girl and not one of us could ever imagine life without her. I certainly look forward to reading the tips and advise from all your wonderful moms
