Hi. Great and when did you start taking them? What brand of folic acid are you using and would other vitamins like vital hair, skin and nails be a problem?

Thank you.. I figured I probably would have to do the visit just dreading the cost. I hoping to find a female gynae. What prenatal would you suggest?

Hi Kirstenw,

Welcome and good luck with the wedding and babymaking plans! It is up to you and your fiance whether you want to start the bd now already.

I would strongly suggest a gynae check up before TTC especially as you are 35. No judgement of your age - I'm 36 and expecting my first :p
That way you can get some info regarding your medication and make changes should the need be. It also good to start on a prenatal multi-vitamin, or at least folic acid. Consider joining a medical aid. The might exclude the pregnancy and birth but at least you'll be able to add baby after birth.

Me: 35
DH: 38
TTC since Sept. 2014

My fiancé and myself are getting married in just over two months and we would like to start trying for a baby. Would it be okay to start trying now before the wedding. I am 35 hence the reason for wanting to start sooner rather then later. We don't have a medical aid, I could go on one but I think it is too late and I don't think they would cover me. I do take medication for hand tremors and I am worried that they may effect our chances. What do you when you not on a medical aid? Did you see a gynecologist before trying? Did you take any vitamins? I stay the Upper highway, KZN area.
