Hi there,
I'm new to this chat room, and would like to know if anybody can give me advice / their experience with the following two gynecologist.
My husband and I lost your baby two years ago. My gynie at that time was at Pretoria East hospital. Before I got pregnant I had multiple miscarriages. I should have know after the last miscarriage I should change to a different gynie, but I thought my gynie knew my situation / history and could assist me more! After we lost our baby, my gynie was so unsupportive, as if we were just a number or another couple. He never followed up, never showed any sympathy or empathy in this matter. I know they can't get attached to every patient, but I felt that he could have been a little more supportive.
It took me two years to be ready again emotionally to try and have a baby. I have a lot of complications, so therefor I have to choose a gynie that will understand my medical situation and go the extra mile.
I'm at a cross road now, do I choose the best hospital which they say is Pretoria East for the aftercare is amazing and they are the only hospital that have private rooms, but there is no female gynie that my medical aid will cover, or do I choose a female gynie that is covered by my medical aid, but it is not the best hospital?
I have narrowed it down to the following two gynies and the hospital were they practice:
Pretoria East Hospital - Dr S Pantazis - male gynie but best Hospital for aftercare if there is any complication with the baby or the bith according to internet or Kloof Hospital - Dr J Grassie - female gynie that prehaps will have more sympathy and empathy if I loose my baby again.
Hope anyone can help me make a decision
