Scared to test... fear of BFN

Hi Ladies. Today my period is due. I am fertomid 150mg. I had a brownish beige discharge when I went to toilet this morning. I have the usual pms symptoms but I have also been getting a twinges in between my belly button and groin. Haven't taken a HPT as yet, afraid that I will get a BFN. Are there any ladies out there experiencing the same thing.
