Dr Ockie van Schalkwyk at Midstream is a fertility specialist and a great doctor. They unfortunately do not always answer the phone (I actually phoned this morning and they only answered the 3rd time). But I would really recommend him (even my GP is one of his patients).
I was highly recommended Dr, Trauw at Pretoria East clinic.
I have done IVF process with him already. His team are exceptionally responsive, super pleasant, warm and welcoming.
As for Dr Trauw, he wont give you false hopes, nor push you in any direction. He gives you the facts, his opinion but allows you to make your own decision without judgement.
I cannot tell you of the success as we are still in the middle of the process as we had to freeze. But so far from my experience I am so glad I was recommended him and i would strongly recommend him as well.
Good morning ladies. I'm 40 and we're TTC. At my recent appointment with the gynie I was informed that my egg reserves are very low (2). Due to my age and low reserve she suggested we see a fertility specialist and not even wait for the 6 month mark.
I'm looking for some recommendations for fertility specialists in the Pretoria area. Midstream Clinic is the closest to me but there was no answer at the Dr. rooms which is a bad sign in regards to customer service.
