When did your LO begin to crawl?

You can tell your mother in law to chill out!

Babies start to crawl mostly between 7 and 10 months.
By the time your baby is one year old you should start to be concerned if your baby does not show signs of wanting to move around.

How about directing her to a website with indications with appropriate times for milestones for babies/children (that way she won't drive you crazy and she can be rest assured ):

My son started sitting unsupported at 7 months, and then started crawling at 10 months. He was still within the "normal" range of development for both of those.

Developmentally it is often quite detrimental to try and force kids to do things like crawling and walking before they're ready. She will do it when she is ready, and before that she is practicing and strengthening her muscles and bones. When those are ready she will move.

My LG started crawling at 8 months and 1 week. I agree with the other ladies, she'll crawl when she's ready - there's nothing to worry about. It sounds like she'll start soon anyway. Enjoy!

My LG crawled at 8 1/2 months. No exercises. She hated tummy time.

LB only crawled properly at 10 months. After 6 months he started rolling everywhere (funny sight), followed by leopard crawling. He was fine with tummy time. No exercises though, I think seeing his sister run around encouraged him to move.

Don't worry, your lg is right on track. She'll crawl when she's ready!
