Oh YEAH! Glad you found something close to work. I'll keep fingers and toes crossed that it is everything you and your little one needs. It's so hard leaving your most priceless treasure with people you don't know. But say a little prayer to that the angels go full steam ahead with your little one.

I totally agree with you - a place close to work would be best! I couldn't find a place at first, but luckily came across a place on Facebook a few days ago, only 500m from my work! Went to check it out and it looks really good, so now I only still want to take my husband a long to have a look as well But I'm very keen because it will be so close to me, so I want to book baby a place sooner rather than later!

I know deciding between daycare/nanny is a NIGHTMARE. for the first 10 months my son had a daymother, then she relocated and I was forced to put him in creche. As hard as it was the first few weeks, I don't regret it. He loves the social interaction and he's learnt so much (bad things to unfortunately).

with finding a creche, wouldn't it maybe be better to find a place closer to work instead of home. God forbid something should happen to little one and you need to drive all the way from CBD. You'll be a wreck by the time you reach him

My baby will be born in May, and I am trying to find a creche / daycare that I can go have a look at so that I can plan ahead.

I still cannot decide between a nanny and a school I live in Boston, Bellville, but work in the CBD. I have to leave hom at 7am to be on time, and if I leave work at 17:30 I only get home about 17:15, 17:20 - not sure if this is a reasonable time for a nanny to work?

On the other hand, I am struggeling to find a creche that closes later than 17:30 (also feel bad about leaving baby at school for the entire day....sigh).

I thought I'd get started by seeing what is out there with regards to creches and / or day cares. I figured that if a can find a school in Panorama, Monte Vista etc (close to N1), I can still make 17:30 pick up time. Can anyone recommend a school in these areas? One that takes babies from about 4months? I will also look at schools in Boston, and greater Bellville area if it's close to Boston, not further towards Brackenfell etc.
