It is normal for a baby not to pee a few hours.
If your baby has urinary retention look out for signs such irritability, tense abdomen fever.
Newborns do spend a lot of their days sleeping but if you notice that their sleep pattern has changed, it’s better to consult a paediatrician

I don't think it is anything to seriously worry about, but I do want to know if it's normal for my baby to go a few hours without urinating.
On another note, she has been sleeping the whole day, but I gave her Hyospasmol (the generic for Buscopan) earlier today and the sister said it can cause drowsiness. Does anyone know if this is the case? Or should I be worried that she is sleeping too much and not peeing?
