Sjoe that is a bit scary if you have already had natural.
But hey our bodies can do anything, there is many ladies that have given normal birth to big babies.
My cousins baby was 3.9kg she gave normal birth with some stitches.
I am just scared of the labour pains more that anything else lol......
I am sure you will decide what's the best option for you.
And believe me time may seem slow but it goes by quickly.

Hi Natasha

I'm only 10 weeks (3 1/2 months) have a lllllllllllllllloooooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggg way to go.

I did have contractions with the first baby and it was hectic and was all prepared for the natural birth but definitely scared of the pain. But I really wanted to try so I fully understand why you would like to have at least one natural birth.

I sometimes still feel like giving it a try but I psych myself out very quickly :-) especially since the gynae told my the second baby will probably be larger than the first.

Hi
I want a third baby ,regardless of the sex lol....
But I also want to try for normal birth.
Don't know if that will happen,I figure maybe I will have labour pains and scream for c-sec lol.
I have never had labour pains as both my babies were born before 40 weeks.
Also keep in mind our bodies are different and so is our pain threshold maybe my pain of dying is your walk in the park lol you never know hey.....
How many months are you now?

Wow, thank you for sharing.

I had an emergency for my daughter 3 years ago and now with baby number two I probably will opt for a Caesar.

I am glad to hear about your second experiences, as I am very nervous, about the epidural, ceasar recovery, etc.

I have accepted I am older now and my body probably won't perform as well as it did the first time, but nervous none the less about recovery.

With first I felt nothing, epidural took immediately, had the Caesar at 18h00 at night and by the morning when they wake you I could move and got out of bed and walked with the nurse to have a shower before they brought my daughter from the nursery.

But I moved and got over the fear, I think becauseit was an emergency Caesar mentally i had not prepared and just accepted what needed to be done and got it over with, now that my mind knows i am stressing more.

I psychologically know i want a Caesar for the second cause my daughter was delivered full term at 3.8 kg in the 40th week and as they got her out she passed her merconium, and only later did i realise had we waited any longer my perfectly healthy baby could have ingested that merconium and we probably may not have had her around or a very sick baby thereafter.

So i am not prepared second time to push for 40+ weeks too scared of the merconium issues, etc

This has worried me a lot thinking about the second one, but thank you for sharing your story, it helps prepare myself and also psychologically digest why we doing what we doing.

Are you trying for more kids or are you done with the 2?

Ok so I was off to my appointment at 38 weeks, expecting the normal things, only to discover that my bp was sky high, the internal was sore and baby did not engage.
My gynae told me to book myself as i was going to have a ceaser on the 13th sept :affraid i was so shocked, finally i was gona be a mommy after 4 yrs of trying.God had finally blessed me.
Got home told people the news,i was anxious, scared and excited at the same time,dh was with me all the way.
Got to the hospital, got told what would happen the next morning, hardly slept that night.
Got up early, had a nice bath, rubbed my belly for the last time as it was,got prepped for the c-sec,personally i think the worst part was the catheter, and it was more painfull each time k moved and pushed :Mad .
Got wheeled to theater had the horrible drip put in,went in the first time, heard a baby cried while i waited, could not wait for mine, gynae wheeled me inside the room gave me an injection in my spine then put in the spinal i felt it hit my bone, not a nice feeling Shame bad
At that stage i could feel that warm feeling in my legs, felt like i was on cloud 9 they could do anything they wanted now, they cut pushed a bit on my tummy, and out came my baby,dh was too scared to take out pics close to my tummy.
Heard my baby cry for the first time,it felt like a dream, she was mine.
They brought her to me she was all blue,i gave her a kiss.
I was then stitched and they took her away with dh,and put me in recovery.
I got to see her after 2hrs i think and she was the most beautiful thing i have ever seen and so white. The nurses said she was not my baby, doesnt look like me.
She weighed 2.9kilo,49cm long head circ 35cm.Scored 8/10 and the 9/10 apagar

So everything was packed and ready for kayla's birth and it could not come sooner as I was really tired and uncomfortable as I carried till 39 weeks and only went on leave 1 week before her birth. On the 26th January I said goodbye to my round tummy, and hello baby.
Arrived at the hospital got prepped with the drip which was freaken sore as they tried to prick me on the side of my hand and it began to swell so they tried again on the front, its went in easily.
I told them to put the catheter in after the spinal as it was painfull the last time when it was done before the spinal.Got wheeled into theater with dh in his scrubs. He def was a proud dad.Anyways had to wait another 15min as the nurses had their lunch.Eventually my dr came in and she also just had a baby in December. She asked me if I wanted to get sterilised as I have been discussing it with her I said I will let her know once baby is out.
The spinal burned like hell, but soon the numbness came in,then they had me open legs for the catheter I felt so embarrassed as everyone could see my hoo haa ,then the cutting began.I just felt alot of pushing in my tummy and told dh that the sheets were coming off I really don't wana see what going on there,dh quickly fixed it,then i heard my baby crying softly, she was born and weighed 3.17kg 51 cm first apgar 9/10 2nd 10/10.They gave her to me and I felt so proud its such an amazing feeling holding your baby for the first time.Dr then asked me again if I wanted to get sterilised and Dh said no we were wheeled into recovery and I could not stop looking at her.She latched on but my milk had to still come in,but i managed to bf for 1 month. For me 2nd time recovery was worse I fainted of the pain and also felt nausea. But tried my best to walk on the 2nd day.
