Jo.Don, that's amazing! Wow, 12kg!

Karmie, I also give my children carbs and off course fruit. I try and do it the clean way, low in gluten, rather veggies than empty carbs but some days I do resort to a quick and easy Woolies meal. There's just not time to make food all day long.

However, we always have biltong and droewors for kids to snack on. Nuts, etc.

So their lunch boxes look like this: droewors or biltong, nuts, provita or wholegrain or rye bread with bovril and butter, dried fruit or a banana. That's my go-to lunch box.

What do you girls eat every day? Like, lunch and dinner?

Me and DH banting strictly (although the wheels came off last week) and kids eat with us but they do still get fruit. Lost 12 kg since mid Jan and feeling better overall.

Must say bought a bread from checkers once but it was disgusting so now I rather stay away from it. Very lus for French toast though!

We should share our go to recipes especially for the days one runs out of ideas! The coconut bread sounds lovely!

What I also like about banting its that food preparation is so much quicker! No waiting for rice to boil or potatoes to get soft! Hehe!

Hi ladies

I am banting strictly, and hubby and LG to a degree. Baby is still breastfeeding. As with Jana, we no longer buy anything low fat and we no longer use any margarine or sunflower oil. Only Olive Oil, Coconut Oil and Butter.

I don't believe in cutting out carbs and starchy veggies for LG, she and hubby still have those, but sadly no potatoes for me.

I do like the fact that we don't eat any processed foods anymore.

I am enjoying it, much more sustainable than any eating plan I have been on before.

Jana, wow, fermenting kombucha! Thas impressive :woohoo:

I have not baked a bread in a few weeks, now that you mention it. I will bake one tonight, the coconut bread is delicious!

I do on and off. I try and incorporate a lot of banting principles into our eating. For instance, we only do full cream everything, no low fat anything. I only use coconut oil to cook, no sugar, only xylitol, bake my own breads, lots of cauli pizzas etc.

We eat eggs every single morning. Either scrambled in coc oil with turmeric or cooked. Kids get iced tea as drinks - I either make myself or buy.

I also recently started fermenting kombucha. Okay, but that's another story, hahaa!
