My weight ect is as follows:
W: 45kg but it fluctuates between 45kg and 42kg.
H: 1.61m
So as far as I can see my BMI is 17.4

Will I be able to donate?

This has always been a problem with me. Up untill 18 I weighed 35.

Well basically the thinner you are the faster the meds metabolise in your body. Now the clinics normally have a set dosage for first time donors, and the amount they give may now be good for you if you metabolise it too quickly.

What is your bmi? What we have done with donors who have a bmi of just below 18.5 is ask them to eat like crazy while donating Although some women just dont put on weight.

Can you tell me why is the BMI important when donating?

I realy want to become a doner but as far as I can see my BMI is too low to do although I have had two of my own kids.
