Stupid question: how do you keep bottle water warm

Hey ladies, know I'm a bit late on this. but I actually have a Pigeon Bottle Warmer that can be left plugged in all night. You pour in about 150mls of water and slot the bottle into the water. It keeps the bottle at the exact right temperature all night long. I would have gone dilly without this. Been using it for just about 6 months now. For the first 3 while I was on maternity leave, it was pretty much on 24 hours a day. And now that I have started solids, its perfect because i put his food in the bowl and warm it up a little before feed time. I see Tommee Tippee are making one now too. Hope this helps.

Thanx Beatrice for asking this question ive had the problem of keeping my 8month old baby's milk warm too but it never occured to me that there could be another solution other than waking up and warm it while the baby is screaming.

I bought a 500ml stainless steel flask from Cape Union Mart, the K-way brand. It keeps the water warm for about 12 hours. Works for us. The water is so warm in the mornings, that I fill babie's bottle half with cold water and then just add water from the flask the next morning, then powder. Then it turns out the right temp.

Reluctant mom those are nice bottles and i am thinking of ordering some because my 8month baby keep me awake at night with boiling ketle and warming the bottle. i tend to struggle to sleep after.

In my experience, weaning is easier when the milk in the bottle is slightly warm as baby is used to breastmilk at body temp. I mean it's understandable from baby's point of view, albeit more inconvenient for the parents. I got a big plastic insulated type of 'coffee dispenser' (if you know what I mean) from Clicks. The water stays warm for about two days, even though I'd probably change the water for her morning bottle every night. I think it was R80 or so.
