Dear Karatemum...

Brewers yeast is different than normal baking yeast. You can get it from Nature's choice.

Good luck
Hope it helps

I'm gonna print this and try it out come the end of the year!

Brewer's yeast you can get from PnP with the baking stuff, it's a few bucks for each little packet!

Okay ladies so here's my results...

Before the weekend I had a little trouble with milk supply, which suddenly took a dip, so I had to power pump to just get the juices flowing again... Saturday I made the cookies and have been eating since... My yeast tablespoons where heaped way up... Today my breast feel a little fuller but not as intense as these women described... just fuller and there's definetely more milk today... so I would say that these cookies do work to a certain extend, but they are too sweet... you could always try to add the brewers yeast to another cookie recipe... or another recipe all together...

xx

Okay just baked the cookies... my recommendations

 Brewers yeast you get in the nature's choice product for 40 odd bucks.
 I couldn't find flaxseed meal so I just used the seeds instead.
 Use about a teaspoon of mix per cookie as they tend to go poof!

I will let you all know whether it worked for me...

Hi there libra...
I haven't tried them myself yet, looking to bake a little during the weekend. I am not sure how these cookies are suppose to work, I've read oats helps on a lactation consultants website, but according to this recipe it's the brewers yeast. I will let you all know whether or not it worked for me. Please if anyone has any other recipes or tips to up your milk supply that actually works, don't hesitate to share. Thanks.

I tried these before and they didn't do much for my milk supply, but I made only one batch. Maybe if I ate them for a longer period it would have helped more. They are great though to snack at during the day especially if you don't get time to make food...

Hi memo...
When baking you can also substitute butter with margarine, cooking oil, apple sauce, vegetable shortening. Or Crisco has a butter flavor vegetable shortening, which I have not tried yet, but do see the link.

www.crisco.com/Products/ProductDetail.as...roupID=17&prodID=851

Hope this helps...
