The Medela bottle does come with a lid. My only problem with them was that they were so small. I used the NUK narrow bottle to express in, but my baby only drinks from the wide neck bottle - apparently breastfed babies prefer the NUK wide neck bottle over the narrow bottle teat - this was also the case with my LG.

They still make the NUK narrow neck bottles, most checkers seem to keep them.
I also bought a no name brand narrow neck bottle from dischem and that works with my pump too.
unfortunately my LG likes the Avent bottles and wouldn't/couldnt drink from the nuk teat so i just express into my narrow neck nuck and decant into the avent bottles.
Hi, I have purchased the Medela swing pump - it should arrive in a few weeks but was wondering if anyone had used any other bottles with it?
I believe the Medela bottles only come in 125ml and have no lids. I have read the NUK bottles fit but only the narrow necked ones. Can you still buy these?
Has anyone used any other cheaper brand with it. I believe the Ackerman's Ultima range are pretty cost effective but not sure if they are BPA free?
It would also be nice to find out which cheaper bottles are interchangeable with NUK teats as I got a NUK bottle as a freebie and am happy to use the NUK teats it would just be nice to save some money on the actual bottle.
The other option is to decant from the Medela bottle into another bottle but this would require a bit more work and sterilising.
Is there a big difference between the narrow and wide necked Nuk bottles?
