My name is Amanda I am accually Afrikaans and my second child a boy was born on 01/07/2011.
I am at wits end I do not know what to do any more? I am physically and mentally exhausted. This is my second child my first is a daughter. My son will be 12 weeks old on Friday. At 1 week 3 days the pead said that he is developing colic and gave me some buscopan and telement drops. Things went fine from there. I started suspecting that my son has heart burn so off to the pead again, acid reflux was the answer. Losec was prescribed and the pead suggested I change milk from s26 gold to S26 AR, I could not find S26 AR so I took the NAN AR as the pead said any AR MILK will do. It went good for about a week... He then started drinking less and lesser by the day. (on the S26 Gold he drank 125ml) he would refuse certain time of day feeds.(it would vary some morning some afternoon). Off to the pead again... he then suggested I try infacare AR as it tastes the same as S26. So I did........ Again things were great for about a week and a half. Then it all began again drinking lesser and lesser, the infacare made him bloated and flatulent and crying all the time. The pead the said Nan HA will solve everything, in the mean while he developed a case of eczema in his face. The Nan HA worsened his acid reflux levels t the point that I had to take him to the emergency room. So back to Nan AR. Since a week and a half ago he is refusing feeds again and not drinking the full amount of his age group. ( on s26 he took 125 at 4weeks, On the NAN AR he takes about 90 to 100, on the NAN ha he took 180ml) so back to the pead again on Wed last week, the pead said that he is definitely teething(my daughter had first tooth at 4 months 1week) and that might be the problem. He is still refusing feeds and only taking about 100ml at a time, I went to the Ampath lab on Wednesday to see if I can have hom tested for allergies ... the ladies there said its definitely not the milk so I tried Novalac AR which he gulps down fast but it seems to worsen the acid I am so worried, please any advice or help will be appreciated.
