Same as the other ladies, I cook Emily's lunches every 2nd Sunday evening and then freeze it for the next 2 weeks. I cook 2 different pots so that she alternates each day and on the weekend, I let her have a break from her cooked food. For dinner, I usually try and make something for us that she can eat as well. Here are some of her lunch options:

Tuna Pasta
Bolognaise made with rice pasta
Hake grilled in orange juice topped with cheese - I then mash in some carrots and sweet potato
Lamb with butternut and sweet potato (one pot)
Country style mixed veg (frozen pack) with grilled chicken
Carrots and peas with beef (I usually use the minute steak)

Weekend:
Chicken nuggets with strawberries and cheese
2 minute noodles (no flavouring), I grate cheese and add some mixed veg instead
Omelette (Egg, ham, tomatoe and cheese)
Fish Fingers and fries

P.S - Emily is going on 15 months.

The cooking in bulk might seem like a pain, but once you get in the hang of it, it becomes second nature.

Good Luck!!!

Welcome to moomie Sonja! Why don't you come and join us at the Oktober mammies 2010 group. We are mommies from September to November in the group.

Blompotjie gave some good advice. I also cook bulk and then freeze lb's food in portions. Lb is 13 months as well.

What is mostly suggested is that when you cook, cook big enough so that you can freeze his food for when you need it, for example, rice, pumpkin, chicken, patatos and other veggies, mash it or purify it to the way he is use to eating and freeze.

What I also do is i make spaghetti or macaroni and cheese, they normally love it and although it is a bit messy, they can eat it with their hands.

Finger foods is also an exeptional easy way to get them full. Slice up vieannas and some cheese with a yoghurt afterwards.

What is also a winner is mince and rice, easy to chew and digest.

Hope this helps a bit :)
