question-circle Juice recipe to increase and boost milk supply

Hi Ronel,

I would be careful with Jungle juice, I know some lactation consultants advise against it, it is high in sugar which is not great for you or baby, If you do drink it, rather in moderation.

The best way to boost milk supply is to put baby on the breast as often as possible, especially in the beginning dont worry about a schedule, rather feed on demand and as often as possible, I also used a homeopathic tablet that boosts milk supply, I cant remember the name, but its a homeopathic product from Diskem, in a green and white bottle.

I had a serious problem with milk supply in the beginning and the best thing was putting Paige to the breast often and for about a week or two I used a breast pump for 5 minutes on each breast after each feed, this did wonders for my milk supply. I used the expressed milk as a top up for a week or two and then my milk supply increased due to the pumping and I could feed her the full feed from the breast. Just dont pump more than 5 minutes each side as you dont want to over stimulate.

A healthy diet and trying to keep stress low helps with milk supply
