it was this thread.
I cancelled the appointment 3 days before

He had just been so well and healthy and doing fine and i couldn't really justify spending that money when our medical fund is already so badly depleted. Figured if he starts getting sick over and over again then i'll take him, but for now i just didn't feel it was necessary anymore.
Jsut as well actually cos now i need that money to take myself to the dr tomorrow to discuss my thyroid blood results which i suspect are all out of whack again.

But i've kept his name and number so if logan seems to get constantly sick again i'll make another appointment.

Huggles, I can't remember which thread we discussed the homeopath in. How did it go?

Glad the weaning went well and that he's sleeping better.

Hi Deja!!

Happy new year!!

I will remember the olive leaf extract for the future. With my LG the doctor presribed me those HORRIBLE medicine that dries up your milk. What a terrible experience, that stuff made me feel very sick.

Glad to hear that things have settled slightly during the night. You are blessed that he isn't interested in the bottle during the night, at least you won't have that fight!

Just an update on the weaning.

I went cold turkey. Put olive leaf extract (you use it for immunity but it tastes DISGUSTING) on my boobs. So I still "offered" him but it was too bitter. He tried about three times before he decided no, something went wrong with his milk.

He is now completely off the boob, never drank again. He sleeps much better but still wakes. He doesn't drink anything at night, since he refuses a bottle. When he wakes, he drinks rice milk out of a straw cup.

So all good!

Hi Staceylee, yes, it's like that for us.

So far it's going okay with the weaning. He isn't thrilled but we aren't awake more than what we normally were. I suppose that's the "plus" of being used to being awake from 2-4am. :-)

Oh, I so feel you. My eldest was exactly the same.
For me it was cold turkey or continue to be at her back hand call all night. Once she saw that I wasn't going to give in (although some times I wanted to just to get 20 min of shut eye), it all went surprisingly smooth.

She was older than your son. 2years old so the days leading up to D day, I explained how things were going to work. If she wanted milk, then I would give her the sippy with some water - she never drank formula.

Good luck and hang in there.

I have 2 little girls and we living in Hong Kong.
