I'm not sure what the guidelines are. I do know I heard that from 1-2 years old they should drink 500-600ml of milk. My son also just turned 2 at the end of October but I honestly have no idea what the guideline intake is, I tend to just follow his lead.

It is important to give them full cream though as they need the fats for brain development.

My son usually drinks about 230ml during the course of the day (it used to be at nap time but the creche stopped giving him milk at naps at the beginning of this year so now it's spread out at other random times), and then about 220ml at bed time.

Sometimes he doesn't drink any during the night, other times he drinks another roughly 150ml during the night. I don't have any hard and fast rules though so that's just a rough guide as to what he drinks. I have recently (like for the past week) started watering it down though so now it's often half milk half water, other times I do half milk half bone broth so he still gets lots of good minerals and nutrients.

LG is 10 months old and the clinic sister advised that she should only be drinking around 600mls a day... so already your girls are getting too much milk. Most of their nutrients should be from normal food...

Oros is high in MSG too...

Also little kids should not be drinking low fat milk. Their little bodies need the nutrients that they get from full cream milk.

With my first born she stopped drinking milk at 22months. Didnt want any other substitute for milk either so we had to up her calcium intake in other ways - like more cheeses and yoghurts etc...

Bonus is she loves water... and till this day if anyone pours her fruit juice (which is all she is allowed as the Oros made her hyper...) she will tell them to add water to it... This is something we have been doing with our girls since we first introduced juice.

Good luck hey...

My lg turned 2 in Sep. And i do not know what they have to drink, but my lg drinks 250ml before her afternoon nap and 300ml before bed at night - full cream milk. She drinks alot of water. I also want to stop, but not sure when.

Hi ladies.

Long time no chat...

My little girl turned 2 in August this year. She is currently drinking 3 bottles of about 200ml low fat milk a day.

When does ones start dropping bottle feeds? How much should she be drinking a day?
She loves OROS and does not really drink water at all.... so im cautious to drop the milk too soon, as its the only "healthy" thing she really drinks! :)

Appreciate any advice. :)
