Hi Alwyn,

Is sounds weird, usually infectious diseases causes a rash behind the ear and in the palm of their hands and the soles of their feet. (I know 'cause my Paed told us that when I took my LG in for weird spots that turned out to be mozzie bites)

If this only happens after a bottle and disappears, there might be a milk allergy, they can never remove the cow's milk out of formula completely, except with the HA formulas (Like NAN HA), where it has been removed due to repetitive processes.

If it goes away, it can't be due to creams or washing powder. I'd really suggest you go see your paed on this as he / she will have the experience to advise you. It just sounds very much like an allergy to me,

My son is 6 months old now and he was on Infacare formula 1 and was ok. We changed to Infacare formula 2 and suddenly a rash appeared during his first bottle. The rash is behind his ears and his sleep, a little around his neck and back. After awhile it disappears. We tried a 2nd bottle and the same thing happened. The previous month we tried baby yogurt and he had the same rash. It also happens with banana purity as well. We think he is allergic to something but when we check the ingredients of the formula 1 & 2 there is not much difference except that there is a increase of sodium and proteins. We don't think it's baby measles or the soap we wash him with or the cream or our washing powder that we use as it only happened now.

Any comments?
