Thanks for advise sofar....gloeiwurmpie will def keep in mind try solids once milk don't seems to satisfy.

Amyreally my reason is ...i noticed lately that my LO seems to nurse more in evening than usual time as in mornings or during the day. Which I think is fair mormal since he's a boy. I have no problem with sleeping, just want him to be satisfied.

The midwife or nurse at mediclinic said the paed suggest puree vwg from 4 month as to the old ppl used to say feed from 3 months. The grannies want me being him up old school ways where I feel from 4months or from 5. Also nerves that some say he must first have some skills in order to receive puree or solids.

But your advise is noted

I find there is a wide range of opinions on when to start solids.
My pead suggested that I can try solids once my milk doesn't seem to satisfy baby's hunger enough. We offered a spoonful of rice cereal just before 4 months. She was ready believe me! She has an enormous appetite! I couldn't believe my eyes how much she ate and with such enthusiasm...grabbing the spoon out of my hand and stuffing herself!

I know lately it was changed from starting at 6 months with solids to anywhere from 4 months. Always check with your Pead/clinic sister and ask questions about why they say what they say.

The recommended time to start feeding baby solids is from 6 months, unless baby's paediatrician says differently...

Is there any reason you want to start at 4 months?
I started my son at 5 months based on recommendation from paed due to his reflux. He started with just rice cereal once a day. Once he was handling that, we moved onto to cereal in the morning and purees at night.

Hi everyone....i am Emma all new to the site as well a first time mom. I breastfeed and my son is now 2months. In one week will be 3 months.
I have been reading alot on feeding 4 month baby puree. I take my boy to the mediclinic baby wellness clinic and they said is fine to feed puree(veggies).

Have a chart on what veg to feed per month as he grows. I need advise on what time of day to feed the puree. I thought of mornings cereal (rice cereal) and evening puree.
