Hi everyone

According to a discussion I saw on Great Expectations last year. You can use either the rice cereal or the maize cereal as baby's first solid food. They said that parents just usually prefer to use rice cereal, as it more easily digestible then the maize cereal. However it is fine to give either as they are both gluten free. Which means no risk of allergic reactions from gluten protein.

I give Maize cereal to my almost 5 month old and have been doing since he started solids at 4 months. I use the Maize Cerelac. You just add cooled down boiled water which saves the hassle of having to make up formula to mix with the cereal. It contains Probiotics and tastes yummy.

Mommy to Ryan almost 3years old and Ben almost 5 months old
