LOL I see we all have the same "problem"... my LB will drink from a sipper cup (holding it on his own) and a straw but still refuses to hold his own bottle unless he is driving with his dad and I am not with to hold his bottle for him...

I dont get to hold Kyle anymore when he drinks. He hates it when he is held for too long. He wants to hold his own bottle, but I think he is too big for his boots  I wouldnt be concerned though if he wasnt holding his own bottle yet, like all the other ladies have said, all children develop at their own time.

Ladies you can all pat yourself on the back for a job very well done. This is a good thing. It means that you take the time to hold your baby and love him or her when feeding. Amazing bonding time.

I was also worried about Dylan until our babygym teacher told me not to.

Hi ladies :)

My LB is 13 months old and still waits for me to give him his bottle...

I will put the bottle in front of him and he will look at me like "what the hell are you doing putting it there?" and then he will sit with his mouth open staring at me waiting for the bottle to be inserted into his mouth!

He does hold it from time to time, like when he is in his cot - but most of the time he is too lazy to even bother because I think he realises that I (or DH) will give in and give it to him.

Spoke to his paed about this and she said its not something to worry about - he knows what he is supposed to do but is merely lazy and knows that he will get it eventually.
