the best advice ever given to me:

when your baby has a really blocked nose and a bit chesty, put a camphor block in bath. you can even put one in a little sakkie and sew it to the inside of their vest, the smell of the camphor is slight enough to keep the nose unblocked yet not as strong as vicks which is too strong for a baby

I love breastfeeding lying down... even nuriya was smaller she would fall asleep lying on my arm(in order to reach the breast)...we both have a good nights slp like that, and great for nap times :)

That is the best advice - I breastfeed lieing down most of the time now.

But when Rebekah was smaller I just couldnt do it - she was so tiny and I was scared I would squash her and I could never position her right :)

I love breastfeeding lying down, because my baby normally falls asleep that way. In the beginning, I would try and stay upright to feed her and it exhausted me. Seven months down the line and I can feed almost in any position! I think when you have a newborn, you are always scared you can "squash" them when lying down. :-)

To me the best advice to sucessfull breastfeeding was to learn and do it laying down.

Put a small flat pillow underneath babys head and his/her arms away from boob and latch. You then lay nice and snug with your bug and can have a nap while breastfeeding!
