Widget - I think perhaps your pain and emotion with the spinal chord was because of the anxiety of everything and the emotions coupled with some fear caused you to cry and feel pain?
I was amazingly relaxed throughout the procedure, and even on the day leading up to it. It certainly did help.
I think perhaps that'd be the difference with no 2. By knowing what to expect, perhaps I won't be as relaxed?
I spoke with gynae about the catching of the nerve last time, so hopefully he will be extra careful this time as it took time to recover.
Oh yes - one other thing I didnt like was that I suffered immensely with being extremely tight 'down there' for about 6 months after the birth. I'm not sure if part of it was because I didn't give birth ie nothing opened up, or just hormones of breastfeeding making sure I didnt fall pg again too soon
Get yourself some rescue before you go in, and make sure you're totally packed and ready the day before, so that the night before you can have a relaxing bath and just chill and have no rush the next morning.
If you still have time and really do want a vbac, then get yourself a midwife and have her be your primary care giver. This would mean leaving your gynae and going with her support gynae. But if it's really what you want then it is possible.
