file The Non Medical AID route

If she has some funds (eg what she would have paid for a medical aid now) then she can go to a midwife and do a homebirth with state hospital as back up. That should work out to around R6000 minimum, could be more with the monthly appointments, if she wants a doula its around R2000, a birth pool can be hired for around R1200.

Not to much if you compare it to R30 000 and then you have a great experience to add to it...

But arrange that baby will be on a medical aid from birth, so that any complications after the birth will be covered.
