Any views on Sunninghill Netcare?

I am a doula and have assisted with births at Femina, they are wonderful.

I would suggest that you visit www.midwives-exclusive.com and look at the midwifes as an option for birth support with a gyni as back up. Really really worth it. If you use the midwifes, you can use the active birth unit at Femina clinic. It is awesome!

Midwifes rule, they are so great and the births are often much better because they don't prescribe positions, baby is not born on a bed if you don't want to be on a bed. No flat on your back with your legs in stirrups!

You can also look at doing a waterbirth if you use the active birth unit at Femina.

You will find the active unit on the hospital premises, visit them and see what they do, promise you its worth it!

I need some advice on choosing a hospital.

I am currently 22 weeks pregnant and most of the books/magazines I have read said I should start looking to book my bed from 20 weeks.

I am going to see Netcare Femina on the 9 April 2013. My current gynae does not deliver so will have to find a gynae at the hospital that I choose.

Any advice on what I should be looking for when I choose a hospital? Also has anyone given birth at Femina? What was your experience there?
