I was away on holidays and didn't have network coverage...well if you use Cell C you will know what I am talking about.

@Purlpleheart my next appointment is on the 28 Jan, I believe if there was a problem they will call me...I guess

@Pixielee hopefully St Marys will be better I wish we had them this side.

Im in Durban. I went to my local clinic on Thursday and started the procedure but had to leave. I got very frustrated being shoved from one room to the next with everyone speaking in their language about what I was doing instead of telling me. Ive been recommended to go to St Marys. They advertise they are private but government funded and thats where the local clinic refers for the birth , apparently the same sit and wait system so we will see.

Don't get me started on the bruises. Every needle left a bruise. The lady who took blood was the worst. It worries me that they leave bruises.

Did you get your blood work results?

The Sister wanted to give me Calcium pills but i refused them. I told her i have at home. I am using Ferrous Fumarate, vitamin c, zinplex calcium and mom2be shakes.
I told her she can give to the next person.
Did i mention how bruised i am from the sister who drew blood.

Wow licious, yours seems to have gone by quickly. Ja, it is a nightmare but coz we have no other options, we have to grin and bare it.

Hi ladies, im going through the government system too. What you need to do is go to your nearest clinic. Some clinic's might take you same day and others like the one i went to might require that you make am appointment. The first check up is quiet intensive. Blood work urine tests and a full body exam.... Hated every minute of it. I arrived at the clinic at 8 and only got home at 2:30 that afternoon. I got vitamins. Folic acid, vitamin B, vitamin c and vitaforce iron and folic acid supplements.

Advantage was meeting other mommies to be, disadvantage was nothing really done to check on the baby.
